Plastic double chairs

You may already have noticed in the product overview that our plastic double chair tête-à-têtes are available in various colours. This is one of the key advantages of plastic—it gives you plenty of choice. Plastic is also very easy to maintain. Simply cleaning your plastic double chair with soapy water from time to time will keep it looking good for decades.

The components of Comfy Chair plastic double chairs are cut from solid, through-coloured plastic sheets. This makes the material extremely robust and colourfast. The downside of this durability is the weight: a plastic double chair weighs 58 kilograms. In practice, this means a plastic tête-à-tête is usually left in one place in the garden.

The biggest difference compared to wooden tête-à-têtes is therefore the weight. Red cedar is a lightweight yet strong type of wood. A wooden double chair weighs only 24 kilograms and is much easier to move. Wood does require slightly more maintenance, although red cedar remains relatively low-maintenance. Finally, wooden garden benches are somewhat more sensitive than plastic furniture. Red cedar is very strong, but it can break if handled carelessly—for example, when someone sits on an armrest (which, of course, is not what armrests are designed for). With plastic double chairs, this is hardly ever an issue; solid plastic is extremely difficult to break.
